A bit of this and a bit of that

After successfully booking an outing for Saturday for the National Heritage Weekend we went into Wokingham for a good look around. We spoke to so many people including a market trader selling postcards of vintage eras. I was given a couple of postcards free to add to my collection, one of which depicts disabled young people from c1900. It must have been so much more difficult to live with a disability in those days. We also popped into a small art gallery and watched a lady painting Battersea power station, and spoke to a lady about the on-going redevelopment in Peach Street and Rose Street. We look forward to seeing the end result. On the way to the park to eat lunch we stopped at the open window into the Support Horizons office and cheekily asked for two cream teas (ha! ha!).www.heritageopendays.org.uk
