On a very cold and windy day I went exploring the delights of Wokingham. Much to my surprise I witnessed the erection of the town’s Christmas tree, which looks really splendid. I also came across a man carving a sand model of a dog. It looked so lifelike that I almost gave it a biscuit. I saw many of the Christmas shop window displays as the town prepares for the Christmas celebrations, giving the town centre a very festive feel.
I bought a CD of Christmas carols recorded at St. George’s chapel Windsor from one of the charity shops for only £1.50. As I am hoping to get to an organ recital at St. George’s before Christmas this will be a very good festive taster.
