Carols and Wokingham Christmas Tree Festival

We started the day with carols around the town Christmas tree being sung by St. Paul’s and St. Nicholas Church choir. Where we enjoyed mulled wine (non-alcoholic) and a mince pie, both free and gratefully received. The choir, both young and old, sung a selection of popular festive carols that everybody enjoyed. We had a lovely chat with the Mayor, and I gave him one of my cards as I explained how my blog started and the variety of activities I participate in.
We then popped into the Wokingham Christmas Tree Festival at the Methodist Church which was displaying many trees decorated by local groups, such as schools, music groups, and other societies. While we were there we listened to music, from bell ringers, a pianist, and singing groups, while watching a rolling overhead projection of all the Christmas trees.
We met some lovely people throughout the day, each wishing the other a very merry Christmas.
