Chance encounters

Today whilst walking to Wokingham, we met a friendly young man in a disability scooter who writes a column for the Bracknell and Wokingham News midweek newspaper. His name is Colin and he explained how, with the help of his family, he was asked to write his column on a regular basis. He gives his own angle on various news items in Wokingham and further afield.
I enjoyed a traditional breakfast (see picture) at one of our regular haunts in town, meeting some of Wokingham’s friendly local characters. Then popped into the library and was surprised to find some musicians playing live jazz music on violin and electric guitar. We swapped business cards and even managed to get my photograph taken with the group to go in next week’s Wokingham News. It’s proof that if you look hard enough you can find a variety of entertainment in Wokingham which must be great for the town.
It’s a lesson for all that by simply stopping for a friendly chat with people it makes the day so much more enjoyable. So let’s get chatting, everyone!www.readingviolinist.co.uk
