Electric Adventures

Do you know how many people drive electric cars? I didn’t know until I went to the Easter lecture at Bracknell and Wokingham College. The lecture was given by two engineers who, with a team of friends, built an electric car. The car was on display to look at in the college reception area.
They told us how it worked and showed us pictures of them building it. They wanted to change the way that people thought of electric cars so they made it look like a racing car and gave it racing performance.
They then decided that it might be fun to drive it from the top of Alaska to the bottom of Argentina. After raising some money through sponsorship they set off on their journey and made a documentary of their adventure.
In the lecture they showed us some pictures and video clips while describing some of the fun and danger that they encountered.
I really enjoyed this. Perhaps there are Easter lectures near you.electric-adventures.com
