Had a drive over to Henley and found it very busy as the World and his wife had the same idea as us. Parking spaces at a premium, but eventually found one in Waitrose. With an extended market to include glorious food displays we were drawn towards it by wafting food aromas making us feel very hungry.
Hit the charity shops and bought a designer black & white patterned summer shirt for £4.50. What a bargain!
Went into Weatherspoons for a drink and a packet of crisps (mini cheddars – other brands available) before heading down to the river for lunch. Enjoyed lunch by a very sunny and busy riverside, with Students nearby going back to their childhood by playing on the swings etc.
We followed lunch with a delicious, brain-freezing, 99 ice cream which was very refreshing indeed. On our return to the car we took a couple of photographs of the colourful boats with church in background to sum up Henley. Finally in the car park we spotted a stunning red sports car which we couldn’t resist taking a picture of.
A great day out.
