Yesterday we set off to Liverpool for a stop off and to pick up Grandma, on our way to our holiday in the Lake District. Then after sleeping over we took to the road for our destination which was Tebay. When I told people about where I was going on holiday, some people knew where I meant, but others didn’t. If you don’t know about Tebay then it is renowned for the service station on the M6 between Kendal and Penrith. We are not staying at Tebay services but at a holiday cottage that is very close.
However as we were going past we decided to stop for lunch and see if the services were as good as they are reported to be. We had lunch in the café where I had a homemade lasagne with chips and salad, lovely. Afterwards we explored the farm shop and other outlets on the site. We then went the short distance to Tebay village and our cottage. Number one Primrose Cottage.
The cottage is fully adapted and I have my own room with an uppy downy bed and TV. There is also a wet room with a shower. There is plenty of room for my wheelchair and all the doors are very wide.
