The weather for was forecast for heavy rain all day, so we decided to do something indoors and go to the Lakeland Motor Museum.
This museum tells the story of the Lake District having an association with motoring from the Model T Ford to an exhibition shed containing Donald Campbell’s Bluebird and a replica his K7 boat. I liked Donald Campbell’s own personal car. It was a 1937 Bentley 4¼. I bought two badges for my collection. A Donald Campbell Bluebird badge and an Austin badge.
We had lunch in the crowded café. I had a homemade Coronation Chicken sandwich on brown bread.
The access was very good around all parts of the museum.
This made for a great day out, especially, as forecast, it tipped it down all day.Click the car to see some more photos.www.lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk
