Museum of English Rural Life

We popped to the Museum of English Rural Life in Reading today. There are threshing machines, tractors, and even man-traps (!) on display. As well as many audio-visual presentations of the many aspects of rural life that have disappeared. We saw many examples of a bygone age that was really not that long ago. 
At the moment they are running a competition to see how many rats you can spot. Don’t panic – they are not real rats but more like Roland Rat. There are 14 to find apparently but we only saw 4. The rest must have all scuttled off. 
I ate my packed lunch on one of the picnic tables in the garden outside. 
There is convenient parking for a small number of cars and access is easy around the exhibits. The staff were very friendly and keen to help us make the most of our
