Marvellous Magna Carta

This weekend I went to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead free event Marvellous Magna Carta, which was being held outside of the Windsor museum at the Corn Exchange. This gave me the chance to meet some re-enactors of the period, who had costumes that you could try on.Dressed in fine purple robes was Chris Brown, the official Town Crier, who was drawing people in and telling them about the Magna Carta story. There were also ladies displaying medieval breads and cheeses, and ladies from the Berkshire Guild of Spinners, Weavers & Dyers demonstrating their skills.A man playing a hurdy gurdy brought life to this visual experience.
