While on the Christmas trip to visit the Liverpool relatives, we popped out to the Walker Art gallery for a look at the David Hockney: Early reflections exhibition. This had works of art from when he was at college and some of his other early pictures.
I particularly liked the swimming pool and shower pieces that he produced while experimenting on capturing water. I like the attached picture because of the plant in the foreground. It could mean all sorts of things in the ‘Arty World’ about the viewer and/or the subject. However my Dad read the panel text which said that he put the plant there because he could not paint feet.www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/walker/
