On a grey chilly day, I took a drive to Newbury to see an open-air exhibition of sculptures at Shaw House. These had all been created by local artist as part of Open Studios 2017. Located in the Shaw House Orangery Garden these sculptures were strategically placed so that you could walk around them and look at each individual sculpture in turn.
After going round the garden I had a relaxed lunch in the café and a look around the house which has an open free exhibition about the history of the house and its previous uses, occupants, and restoration.
It was a nice way to spend the day. Access is flat and admission was free although they do appreciate a donation to help with their running costs.
