After the snow of last week, it does not seem right that we are now in the meteorological Spring, and after two days of being stuck indoors, I was like a caged rabbit bouncing out on Saturday when I went to St. Mary’s in Shinfield for a spring concert given by the Belle Canto Trio.
They sang light, springy numbers to the delight of a busy church. These concerts are held once a month and are followed by a generous buffet lunch, including warm bacon sandwiches which I enjoyed.
There is on street parking outside the church and ramps to get up and down the few steps into the church. The concerts are free to attend but they would appreciate a donation for the running of the building.
