A trip out to the Farnham Rural Life Centre, at Tilford, for a model railway exhibition. Unbelievably after a hot week it has rained cats and dogs restricting our movements and soaking us through. The actual exhibition took the form of several layouts. My favourites were a Wild West like layout complete with buildings and animals, and a real steam layout that you could see on the way in to the exhibition shed. A full size steam engine carrying passengers encircled the site giving great photo opportunities.
Yippee at last the sun has come out allowing us to do some more exploring. We took a picture of the steam engine and spoke to a young boy about 11-12 years old whose ambition is to one day be allowed to drive the engines.Click the photo to see some more pictures.www.rurallife.plus.com
