Windsor Contemporary Art Fair

As part of the Thames Valley History Festival, and in association with the Windsor Contemporary Art Fair I went along to a talk at Windsor Race Course about the Birth of Photography. The speaker, Helen Rappaport, gave a very interesting and informative talk covering the early pioneers of photography, photography in the Crimean War, and early Victorian photography. Did you know that the Victorians used to photograph dead people in their coffins or dressed in their uniforms of work?
Then afterwards Wayne and I went to have a look around the rest of the fair. The paintings were very nice to look at and I liked some paintings of London busses, and Big Ben. All the artwork is for sale and prices ranged from affordable to thousands of pounds.
In the café area I had a toasted cheese sandwich with a Coke (Other brands available), where we were recognised by an artist whom we had met at the Reading Contemporary Art Fair earlier this
