We arrived at the White Waltham Airfield for the Retro Festival to the sound of a trio of Old Time Jazz musicians playing the tuba, trumpet, and banjo. We then came across dozens of stalls selling vintage clothes, furniture, jewellery and even old style petrol pumps. We spotted many pin badges, some of which I purchased. There were so many that I was spoilt for choice. Some of the clothes were quite expensive, but there were also plenty of bargains available. There was a vintage motor bike display, an air display, some wonderful vintage cars, and a few steam engines, to view. There were also many people walking around who had come dressed in retro clothing which added to the atmosphere. As we walked round we recognised many friends that we have made at previous vintage shows and displays that we have been to, as well as making many more today.Food and drink were in abundance. In one of the music tents I had a dance with a lovely lady who we met, and we finished off a wonderful day listening to, and watching, 60’s dance music in another large marquee.A great day out in the sunshine.Click the image to see some more pictures in the
