On Sunday I went to the Royal Albert Hall for a traditional Christmas concert. This featured some well known carols which the audience, of groups and families, were very much encouraged to sing-a-long to by the enthusiastic conductor and soloists.
I wore my Christmas jumper and was pleased that other people had also dressed for the occasion in Christmassy clothing. Click the image to see some photos in the gallery.
I was seated on a raise platform for wheelchairs, to the left of the stage, and had a good view of the orchestra and performers, as well as having a view over the audience. Once we were in our seats the hall filled up quite quickly, and by the start of the performance all the seats right up to the roof were taken and there were also lots of people standing in the gallery.
There was a range of traditional and modern songs, amongst which the theme from Disney’s Frozen was included, to the delight of the younger audience members.
