Windsor and Eton Carol Concert

Yesterday I went to Eton for a festive afternoon of carols in the Eton College school hall. The concert was led by the Eton and Windsor Choral society, with the Royal Academy of Music Brass Quartet, and the organ scholar from St. Georges chapel at Windsor Castle.

I was given a carol book on entry to the hall and the audience was encouraged to sing along with every carol. Participation of the Twelve days of Christmas was split into the month that your birthday fell on. This had everyone bobbing up and down at the relevant months.

The there were a few brass pieces, and a solo for the choir, as well as the children in the audience singing Away in a Manger and Jingle Bells.

This was a very high quality concert that was not too far away from my home in Wokingham and it only cost £5.00 to get a ticket. Wheelchair access was by a ramp at the side of the hall.
