At the weekend I went to a concert at St. Mary’s church in Slough given by the saxophone quartet “Opus 4”. This awesome four-some have not performed at one of these regular lunchtime concerts before.
They played some jazzy, swinging, toe-tapping numbers such as “I’ve got rhythm” by George Gershwin plus the Poirot theme, and Mission Impossible. Wayne remarked that he was imagining himself going down a zipwire from the spire of the church himself! Well I’d pay to see that!
All the pieces were professionally played to an appreciative audience. The event organiser was keen to re-book them for another performance because he was so impressed. Can’t wait.
Access is flat although you sometimes have to ask for the ramp to be put out for the few steps into the church and parking outside is OK.
